- Compare counts with and without whitespace, lines and UTF-8 bytes. Copy any result as a number.
Example
“Hello world” has 11 characters with spaces and 10 without spaces. One Korean character such as “가” takes 3 bytes in UTF-8.

Why can word counts differ from a word processor?
This tool uses browser language segmentation and visible grapheme clusters. Word processors may use different rules. Combined emoji count as one character; tabs and line breaks are excluded from the no-spaces count.
